New this year, the RMHPBA has paid for all its members to have FREE access to the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Education Foundation's online Hearth 101, Introduction to Hearth Systems and Using Hearth 101 for Sales and Customer Service. This saves our members $200 per employee who choose to take the courses.

There is no limit to how many of your employees can take the course. This will be especially helpful for new employees!

About the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Education Foundation

The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Education Foundation (HPBEF) is an independent, non-profit education foundation that serves as the education “arm” of the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA). The Foundation was established in 1981 as the HEARTH Education Foundation. HPBEF is governed by a Board of Governors that includes representatives from the hearth, patio and barbecue industries, the public safety, and allied service community.

Mission

HPBEF promotes safety, understanding, and responsibility in all facets of hearth, patio and barbecue products through professional training and consumer education.   The Foundation supports the industries by providing solid business strategies, technical training, and educational products and programs that capture best industry practices and encourage professional achievement, certification and continuing education.

The Foundation also manages the National Fireplace Institute┬« (NFI) Certification Program.  NFI is the professional certification division of HPBEF.  NFI’s objective is to increase public safety by establishing meaningful credentials for professionals involved in planning and installing residential hearth appliance and their venting systems.
